Chelsea are willing to pay £85m for Leon Bailey

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is one of the managers interested in the young winger Leon Bailey. Manchester United and Liverpool also want to sign the Jamaican player, but Chelsea are willing to pay a stunning £85million to make the transfer happen.

Leon Bailey, the Bayer Leverkusen winger, is one of the most exciting young players in Europe. We are not surprised that clubs like Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool want him in their squad.

Frank Lampard is desperate to find a replacement of Eden Hazard, because in the last summer transfer window the club had a transfer ban and they could not find any replacement for the Belgian. So now Lampard is definitely going to spend a lot of money to secure the signature of the 22-year old Jamaican player.

Lampard was very impressed with Bailey's performance in the recent game with Steven Gerrard's Rangers.

Leon Bailey had a great night as he scored Bayer's third goal of the match making the scoreline 3-1.

The Jamaica international made over 100 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen since 2016 when he was signed from Genk. Bayer Leverkusen are opened for offers for Leon Bailey and they are more willing to sell him to a Premier League team rather to their rivals Bayern Munich.

Leon Bailey will be the perfect replacement of Eden Hazard, who signed with the Spanish giants Real Madrid last year. However, Pedro and Willian are expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer so Lampard definitely need a new winger.

Lampard did not have any choice, but to help some of his young players to develop throughout this season as the club had a transfer ban. But this year Chelsea are ready to give their manager around £200m to sign new players to the club.

Chelsea made their first deal after the January transfer window, signing the Morocco international Hakim Ziyech. They will welcome Ziyech to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, after Chelsea agree a £36m deal with Ajax.
