Larsson's Shocking Verdict: Messi Cannot Surpass Ronaldinho in Football History
Henrik Larsson reveals he doubted Messi's skills early on, insisting Ronaldinho remains the greatest ever. Is Messi's legacy overrated?

Henrik Larsson, the former Barcelona star, admitted he initially doubted Lionel Messi’s potential and whether the Argentine could ever surpass Ronaldinho.
The Swedish legend recalled his early days at the club: during his first year, Messi wasn’t in the squad. It was only in his second year, during preseason in Japan, that Larsson saw Messi on the plane, but he didn’t pay much attention.
No, I couldn't judge him. And few had seen Ronaldinho. At that time I was playing with Ronaldinho – he was the greatest.

He went on to explain Messi’s abilities but why he still found it hard to see anyone outshining Ronaldinho.
Messi could do everything with the ball and was very effective. But I didn’t see how he could become so good. The technique, speed, left foot – he had it all, but for me, it was hard to imagine anyone better than Ronaldinho.
