Barcelona to Activate €30 Million Deal to Make Rashford’s Transfer Permanent
Barcelona plans to make Rashford's loan permanent for €30M, citing his elite skills and key role under Flick as reasons.

Barcelona is set to activate the option to buy Marcus Rashford for €30 million and make his loan move from Manchester United permanent at the end of the season, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Despite an inconsistent campaign, the English forward has proved his long-term value to the club’s sporting management. Rashford has established himself as one of Hansi Flick’s most trusted players, bringing "characteristics and resources of the highest level that would be impossible to find on the market."
Inside the club, he’s described almost as a "sacred cow" — a term famously associated with Johan Cruyff — with the 28-year-old raising the team’s overall standard through his versatility and quality.
Primarily used as a left forward under Flick, where he often makes decisive contributions, Rashford is also highly regarded for his set-piece delivery, turning corners into a serious weapon.
His ability to play as a central striker, although rarely deployed in that role this season, adds to Barcelona’s interest. The club plans to reinforce the No. 9 position this summer — even before addressing central defense.
Rashford’s stats in 26 games across all competitions include seven goals and 11 assists, highlighting his impact while adapting to a new league.
The €30 million option is seen as excellent value for a proven Premier League player, and keeping him is considered a strategic priority for Barcelona’s hierarchy.
