Carrick Set to Be Named Permanent Manager THIS WEEKEND
Manchester United is close to appointing Michael Carrick as permanent manager after impressive results including wins over City, Arsenal, Chelsea.

Manchester United’s board is edging closer to making Michael Carrick the club’s permanent manager, according to The Times.
CEO Omar Berada and football director Jason Wilcox have reportedly decided to recommend the 44-year-old after his impressive spell in charge, which included securing a Champions League spot.
Carrick took over as interim boss in January and managed 10 wins in 15 games. Some of the highlights during his short tenure include victories over Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea.
Final approval lies with co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, but Carrick could be officially named permanent manager as early as this weekend.
Strong results and clear improvements on the pitch in recent months have boosted support for Carrick, who appears set to earn a long-term contract at Old Trafford.
