Alonso Sways Morgan Rogers Away from Arsenal 🚨
Xabi Alonso personally convinced Morgan Rogers to join Chelsea over Arsenal in a £117m deal. Medical tests soon set to confirm the transfer.

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso played a key role in securing Morgan Rogers' transfer from Aston Villa, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Spanish coach personally spoke with the English international to present his project at Stamford Bridge. At the time, Rogers was deep into negotiations with Arsenal, but the conversation with Alonso proved decisive.
The 23-year-old forward was reportedly impressed by the vision laid out by the former Bayer Leverkusen boss and agreed to join Chelsea.
Following this, the club's co-owner Behdad Eghbali and Aston Villa owner Nassef Sawiris finalized the deal, valued at £117 million.
Rogers has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea. He's expected to sign a six-year contract, which will include an option to extend for an additional year.
The player is set to undergo mandatory medical tests on Monday, after which the club will officially announce the transfer.
With Morgan Rogers on board, Chelsea continues their extensive recruitment drive. Alonso gains another serious addition as he builds his squad for the upcoming season.
