Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo dismissed comparisons between teammate Lamine Yamal and Lionel Messi, calling them absurd. He stressed that the young Spanish talent is carving out his own path and will play a key role in the club's success.
"Lamine has his own path. Any comparison of a footballer with Messi is madness. He has his own path and that's absurd. We will support him to help him develop. If Lamine wins and scores goals, the team will win," Olmo said.
The 18-year-old recently scored a stunning bicycle kick in Barcelona's win over Real Oviedo, bringing his tally to 11 goals and 12 assists across all competitions this season.
