Frank’s relief was short-lived despite a solid 2-0 Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund during the week.
Heading into Turf Moor, Spurs were desperate to strengthen their Premier League campaign, having secured only two wins in 13 league matches.
The visitors looked dominant early on, taking the lead through a fierce left-footed strike from Micky van de Ven after Burnley failed to clear their lines.
However, the momentum shifted before halftime when Axel Tuanzebe expertly side-footed in a Kyle Walker cross to level the score.
Burnley then took the lead in the 76th minute with Lyle Foster’s goal adding to Tottenham’s woes.
In a tense finish, Xavi Simons struck the crossbar, but it was captain Cristian Romero who salvaged a point for Spurs with a headed equalizer in the 90th minute.
This draw leaves Tottenham languishing in 13th place, increasing the pressure on their manager.
