PSG show interest in Coutinho

Barcelona could use Philippe Coutinho as a makeweight in the deal to bring Neymar Jr. back to Camp Nou.

According to Forbes, the Ligue 1 champions are interested in bringing the former Liverpool player to the Parc des Princes. This news have sparked rumours of a sensational swap deal in the summer transfer window.

It's not secret that Barcelona want to bring back Neymar. Last summer they even tried to sign Neymar, but the deal broke down.

The likelihood of another saga developing at the end of this season is high, and Forbes report that Coutinho could be the ace in the hole that helps seal this deal.

Barcelona bought Coutinho for €145m but he spent this season out on loan at Bayern Munich, who are unlikely to pursue the possibility of making it a permanent deal.

Hansi Flick, the interim head coach at the Allianz Arena, came out in defence of the playmaker: “It’s not easy.

“He’s been training really well of late. I don’t think he’s 100 per cent happy with his performances right now, but he’s one of ours and we have to help him.

“I’m sure he’ll help us a lot, but we have to be patient.”
