Bayern Munich victorious over Union Berlin

Bayern Munich managed to extend their lead in the league's table as they beat Union Berlin in today's game with 2-0, and now they are four points ahead Borussia Dortmund.

The Bundesliga leaders are continuing their winning ways and are closer on winning the title for eight consecutive time.

Bayern Munich played very well for most of the time and they went in the dressing rooms in the halftime with one goal lead.

Flick's side have dominating in possession in both halves, but they have struggled to get past the defence of Union Berlin.

The guest have been putting pressure on the hosts, but they have find it difficult to open up their defensive line. However, just before halftime Robert Lewandowski opened the scoreline.

In the 18th minute of the game, Muller scored after Serge Gnabry headed the ball into the net, but it was deflected by the keeper and Muller put it in the open goal. Eventually, the goal was disallowed as Muller was caught offside.

Alphonso Davies has been playing very well in today's fixture. The 19-year-old was playing more like a winger, rather than left-back.

In the 22nd minute Davies made a great delivery in the penalty area, but Lewandowski was not able to put it in the net as the ball went right behind him.

However, just 17 minutes later in the 39th minute Goretzka was fouled by Neven Subotic in the box and Bayern were given the penalty.

Robert Lewandowski was the man who opened the scoreline in the 40th minute after he confidently took the penalty.

After a hop, a skip and then a confident right-foot shot into the bottom corner Lewandowski marked his return with his 26th goal for this season.

After the halftime, Bayern Munich had chance to extend their goal advantage, when a lovely ball from Benjamin Pavard allowed Goretzka and Muller combine perfectly, but eventually Goretzka's shoot was slightly deflected by the keeper, which was enough to put it in the corner.

In the 55th minute, Muller perfectly dribbled past the defence and crossed the ball to Lewandowski, but the Pole did not headed the ball well enough and it was easily cleared by Union Berlin defender.

In the second half Union Berlin was putting a lot of pressure on Bayern Munich and they had couple of good goal chances, but Neuer was paying attention and he saved every ball.

However, just 10 minutes before the full time, Bayern Munich extended their lead after a corner. Joshua Kimmich perfectly delivered the ball in the penalty area and Benjamin Pavard headed the ball right past Rafal Gikiewicz.
