Bayern Munich met Borussia Dortmund in the 'Der Klassiker' today and they got the much needed victory. Now they are seven points ahead of Favre's side and they are closer on winning the title for the eight consecutive time.
Both teams started the game very attacking, but a mistake by Burki cost Borussia a goal in the first half.
Borussia had several chances to open the scoreline in the first minutes of the game. The first came in the 1st minute of the match after a great pass saw Hazard completely unmarked and Neuer did not intervened in the best possible way.
In the first half of the game we saw that Bayern defence was very opened and Borussia managed to get pass Boateng and Alaba easily.
Brandt was the creative force as he created many chances for his teammates to net the ball, but no one managed to do so.
However, Bayern Munich had several chances to open the scoreline sooner. The first came in the 11th minute when Mueller did not managed to head the ball into the net as it was too high for him.
However, the visitor went in the dressing rooms with one goal advantage in the half-time after an amazing goal from Joshua Kimmich.
In the 43rd minute, right before half-time, Kimmich chipped the keeper perfectly as Burki was too much in front of his area.
After the break, Favre decided to bring some fresh legs to the game and substituted Thomas Delaney for Emre Can and Julian Brandt for Jadon Sancho.
After the break Bayern started very fast as they have created goal scoring opportunities.
However, in the 58th minute of the game Haaland got the chance to equalise the scoreline, but Jerome Boateng manage to clear the ball.
In the 83rd minute of the game, Lewandowski almost scored his 28 goal of the season, but he hit the post.
