Alphonso Davies Bayern Munich

Could Davies become the best left-back in the world?

Bayern Munich are on the verge of winning the Bundesliga title for eight consecutive time and they are taking the advantage of the fact that many of their players are in the shape of their lives.

One of those players is not else but the Canadian Alphonso Davies, who completely occupied the left-back position for himself.

Davies is just 19-year-old, but he impressed the world with his superb performances after the restart of the Bundesliga season.

The young Canadian showed great defensive awareness and proved that he could be helpful not only in defence, but in attack too.

Davies has an unbelievable speed and amazing dribbling and passing abilities and of course due to his great performances his transfer price has increased significantly.

There are only two left-backs in the world who have a higher value than his 45 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.

The first one of course is Andrew Robertson, the Liverpool star, and the second is David Alaba, Davies teammate from Bayern Munich.

However, Davies has the potential to become of the best left-backs in the world if he continues to play on the level he is playing right now.

Of course he needs play time and Hansi Flick guaranteed the Canadian the needed time to play, but that might change next season.

Bayern Munich are using David Alaba as a centre-back whose natural position is as a left-back, but they are short of any other options as Niklas Sule is injured.

Davies is still very young as he is only 19-year-old and he has to prove himself as trustworthy defender, but for now as it seems he is on the right way to become on of the best in the world.
