Earlier reports noted Atletico's agreement with Bayern, offering a small transfer fee plus covering the €8.5 million gross salary Goretzka was owed this season. Despite this, the player chose to delay any move until summer.
Now Atletico’s transfer chiefs, under Mateu Alemany, face a decision on whether to chase the German again, who has earned around €17 million yearly in Munich.
