Eduardo Camavinga in action for Real Madrid in white kit

Eduardo Camavinga’s future at Real Madrid is looking increasingly uncertain. New head coach José Mourinho plans to inform the French midfielder that he won’t be a key figure for the team next season, journalist Miguel Serrano reports.

Mourinho intends to have a personal conversation with Camavinga as part of his squad assessment. He will explain that he no longer sees the 23-year-old as a crucial part of his long-term project.

The Portuguese coach is determined to reduce the number of midfielders in the squad before the club makes another major signing during the summer transfer window.

Because of this, Real Madrid is expected to part ways with at least one of their leading midfielders.

Competition for midfield spots is fierce at Real Madrid. The likes of Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Arda Güler, and the new signing Bernardo Silva all limit Camavinga’s chances of regular playing time.

If these reports prove true, Camavinga will face a tough choice: stay and fight for his place at Santiago Bernabéu or seek a new challenge elsewhere.
