Endrick Picks Cristiano Ronaldo as His Idol—Will He Face Him in World Cup?

Endrick, the Lyon striker on loan from Real Madrid, has spoken out about his admiration for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Al Nassr star and Real Madrid legend is his biggest inspiration, especially because of his extraordinary longevity in football.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is my number one idol. What I admire most about him is that at 40 years old, he remains the hardest-working person of all," the Brazilian said.

Though Ronaldo is nearing the end of his career, Endrick believes he still has years left to play. "He is close to the end of his career, but he is still capable of playing for many more years. I hope he does."

Looking ahead, the young striker also shared a dream of facing Ronaldo on football’s biggest stage. "Playing against Cristiano Ronaldo at the World Cup? Ah, that would be wonderful. I hope it happens and that we win it."
