Ipswich Town have secured the permanent signing of Morocco international Issa Diop, with British outlets reporting a fee close to £8.5 million. The 29-year-old defender joins the club after four years at Fulham, where he featured in 96 matches across all competitions.
Diop’s career began at Toulouse before making the move to West Ham United in 2018. During his time with the Hammers, he made 121 appearances and found the net eight times. He then transferred to Fulham in 2022, spending four seasons at Craven Cottage.
On the international stage, Diop has been a presence for Morocco, appearing in five games at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and even scoring against the Netherlands.
