Cristiano Ronaldo, now approaching his 41st birthday, is reportedly unhappy with his situation at Saudi Professional League club Al Nassr and could leave as early as June, according to the Portuguese outlet Record.

The forward feels mistreated by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund (PIF), which owns Al Nassr along with rivals Al Hilal, Al Ittihad, and Al Ahli. Ronaldo believes PIF is deliberately blocking key transfers for Al Nassr, aiming to reduce the team’s chances of claiming the league title—even though Al Nassr trails leaders Al Hilal by just one point.

He points to two upcoming transfers as examples:

- Karim Benzema’s move from Al Ittihad to Al Hilal

- The signing of young striker Georges Ilienchea from Monaco by Al Ittihad

Meanwhile, Al Nassr has only strengthened by signing Iraqi midfielder Abdulkarim from Al Zawraa during the transfer window.

Ronaldo, who has played a big role in boosting global interest in Saudi football and is an ambassador for the 2034 World Cup in Saudi Arabia, feels he deserves more respect and support.

In protest, he refused to play in Al Nassr’s recent 1-0 league win over Al Riyadh.

His contract includes a release clause worth 50 million euros, which could smooth the way for a departure. Potential destinations include Major League Soccer or a return to Europe.

Despite his frustration, Ronaldo remains determined to win his first Saudi league title and reach the milestone of 1,000 career professional goals.
