Cristiano Ronaldo WINS €9.8M Legal Battle with Juventus
Cristiano Ronaldo wins his legal fight against Juventus over deferred wages, receiving €9.8 million after a Turin court ruling.

Cristiano Ronaldo has won his long-standing legal dispute against Juventus after a labour court in Turin ruled in his favor.
Judge Gian Luca Rovaldo dismissed Juventus’ complaint and upheld an arbitration decision from April 2024 that awarded the Portuguese forward €9.8 million.
The case goes back to 2021, when Ronaldo left Juventus and returned to Manchester United amid a fight over deferred payments agreed upon during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Known as the “Ronaldo card” agreement, it involved a deferred gross payment of €19.5 million that was never recorded in the club’s accounting books nor paid out.
An arbitration panel later granted Ronaldo, who now plays for Al Nassr in the Saudi Professional League, half of that amount, ruling Juventus had no intention to deceive him.
Juventus will cover the legal costs, but the club insists the ruling won’t affect their budget since the funds had already been set aside. They are still considering the possibility of a further appeal.
