Manchester City Stumbles Again! Miss Chance to Close on Arsenal in Title Race
Manchester City draw 1-1 with Brighton, missing a key opportunity to narrow the gap on Arsenal in the Premier League.

Manchester City stumbled once again in the Premier League title race. Pep Guardiola's side finished 1-1 at home against Brighton in a 21st-round clash, marking their third consecutive match without a win.
City remain second with 43 points, while Arsenal top the table with 48 points and a game in hand. The Gunners face Liverpool tomorrow. Aston Villa are level with City on 43 points but have played all 21 matches, sitting third.
After a goalless draw with Sunderland last round, City finally took the lead at the Etihad thanks to Erling Haaland. In the 38th minute, VAR awarded a penalty for a foul on Jeremy Doku involving Diego Gomez. Haaland kept his composure from the spot, putting the hosts ahead.
Brighton found an equalizer after the break. Kaoru Mitoma expertly controlled a pass from Yacine Ayari and fired a powerful shot from the edge of the box, sending the ball into the bottom right corner in the 61st minute to make it 1-1.
The draw extends Manchester City's winless streak, while Brighton climb to 10th with 29 points.
