Jurgen Klopp, Red Bull's global football director, has firmly dismissed rumors connecting him to a potential role at Real Madrid following the dismissal of Xabi Alonso.

The former Liverpool boss was quick to rule out any connection with the scenario, making it clear he's not involved.

"At first, this is another sign that something is not right over there right now," Klopp said, referring to the situation at Real Madrid. He expressed surprise that the club parted ways with a coach like Alonso just six months after hiring him.

Klopp recalled Alonso’s excellent work at Bayer Leverkusen over the past two years and called him an exceptional coaching talent. In his view, the events reveal two main things – modern football allows no patience and Real Madrid’s expectations are sky-high.

"To make such a decision driven by emotions, right after losing a cup final to Barcelona, says a lot. Rumors had been around for some time," the German added, making it clear that none of this involved him or stirred any reaction on his part.

Klopp admitted he was genuinely surprised by Alonso’s firing and said he responded to the many messages he received with emojis only, avoiding any additional comments.
