Barcelona hope to re-sign Neymar this summer, but in exchange for Antoine Griezmann.
The Catalan club want to bring to Camp Nou Neymar and Lautaro Martinez, but the financial crisis is doing deeper and deeper and they are now ready to let Griezmann go after one season with the club.
Neymar is a big priority for Barca, but the price Paris-Saint Germain set for the player is too high, as they want to sign Inter striker Martinez. The Catalans are said to value the Frenchman at £88m (€100m) and will look to sell him this summer to PSG, who value Neymar at £135m (€150m).
The price for both players is very high especially in times like that where the one of the richest clubs is reducing the wages of its players. The only reasonable option for now is that Barca will manage to make a deal with Paris-Saint Germain to swap the two players.
Griezmann is a Frenchman and most definitely, it will be easy for him to adapt quickly to the style of play PSG have. In fact, the 29-year-old player is used to the style of play Mbappe has as both play for France national team.
However, it is well known that Barcelona want to bring Neymar back. They have tried last year, but failed, and the only new addition to the forward line turned out to be Griezmann.
Antoine Griezmann joined Barca from Atletico Madrid for £105m (€120m), but he just could not live up with the expectations.
When Griezmann played for Atletico Madrid, he was a different player. In matter of fact, he is their fifth goalscorer of all time with 130 goals.
In his last year with Atletico, he scored 15 goals in 37 games, and assisted eight. This season he played in 26 LaLiga games and scored only eight goals.
