Mbappe PSG

Mbappe might join Liverpool this summer

It was reported that Jurgen Klopp is determined to sign Mbappe this summer and he even contacted his father.

Kylian Mbappe is one of the most wanted players in the world. The World Cup winner might break Neymar's world-record transfer to PSG in 2017.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move to the Spanish giants Real Madrid, but as it seems Liverpool are also likely to sign him.

Liverpool have won the Champions League Super Cup and Club World Cup in 2019 and this season they are 25 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

There is also a chance that Sadio Mane will leave the Reds this season and that's why Klopp is so determined to sign the 21-year-old Frenchman.

According to the French outlet Le10 Sport, Liverpool are desperate to land Mbappe at Anfield.

In January, Mbappe spoke highly of Klopp’s side and that arose the speculations that he might join them in the summer.

“What Liverpool do in this moment is amazing,” said Kylian Mbappe.

“They’re like a machine, they’ve found a rhythm and are like ‘we play again, we play again’.

“When you watch you think everything’s easy but that’s not easy. The guys are focused, they play games every three days and they win, they win, they win.”

However, Liverpool are not the only club that is interested in the French star. It was reported that Mbappe was on the verge of signing with Real Madrid in the January transfer window.

Jerome Rothen, the former PSG, Monaco and Rangers winger who also played with Zinedine Zidane said: “I know from club sources that a deal to take Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid was almost done.

It is clear that Mbappe is not satisfied with PSG and he most certainly is not going to extend his contract, which expires in 2022.

It is just a matter of time before the young star leave the Parisians. But the questions is, in such an uncertain times where the clubs are generating big financial loses, who is going to be able to pay Mbappe's price?
