Lamin Yamal keeps smashing records for Barcelona. The 19-year-old star scored twice in the 5-2 win over Rayo Vallecano at Spotify Camp Nou, bringing his official first-team tally to 51 goals.
The Spanish international started this season with 49 goals for Barca. He scored seven in his debut 2023/24 season, 18 in 2024/25, and 24 so far in 2025/26.
Against Rayo, the youngster crossed the 50-goal mark in style. In the 21st minute, Yamal curled the ball into the top corner, then added a second goal in the 90th minute, making it 51 goals in total.
This achievement is historic for Barcelona. No other player has reached 50 official goals at such a young age.
Yamal hit the mark at just 19 years old, beating the milestones set by club legends like Josep Escolà, who reached 50 goals at 20, and Lionel Messi, who did it at 21.
His rise began in April 2023 when he debuted for Barcelona’s first team at just 15. Since then, his role has steadily grown, and he's now a key figure under coach Hans-Dieter Flick.
Coming into this new season, Yamal builds on a hugely successful previous one, where he was named La Liga’s best player and went on to win the World Cup with Spain.
He also holds another impressive club record: the youngest player in Barcelona’s history to reach 50 official first-team appearances, surpassing Bojan Krkić’s previous mark.
With 51 goals at only 19, Lamin Yamal is continuing to make history and set standards that won’t be easy to beat anytime soon.
