Former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has revealed that he and Hazard had conversations about both playing for Real Madrid when the duo still played at Stamford Bridge.
“In the Chelsea dressing room, we spoke about the possibility of playing here. ’The White House, the White House…,’ we said. It was nice to speculate about it. Now, we are very eager to win trophies," said Courtois.
Courtois was first to join the Spanish giants in the summer of 2018 and let's be fair he had an awful first season with the Los Blancos.
Hazard left Chelsea to join Real Madrid in the last transfer window for an initial fee of £130 million and he did not manage to prove his worth as he was injured for most of the current 2019/20 season.
Eden Hazard has been the biggest fear for Real Madrid as when he arrived at Santiago Bernabeu he was overweight and he is struggling with injuries through out the season.
Eden Hazard's set of admirers - like Roberto Martinez, who believed that the 29-year-old is capable of winning the Ballon d'Or - are a bit worried that the money Real spent on him are kind of a waste.
It is hard to adapt in a new club, especially if it is Real Madrid, but we believe that for the second season with the Los Blancos, Hazard will manage to recover his form when he played for Chelsea and he will prove why his value is that high.
