Romano says that contrary to rumors, the Chelsea midfielder hasn’t agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants. There have also been no contacts between the two clubs so far.

In reality, Fernández is just one of several names being discussed internally in Madrid. Four other options remain on their radar, and interest hasn’t progressed to an advanced stage yet.

Real Madrid also wants to sell several players before negotiating to sign a new midfielder.

That said, Enzo himself is likely to push for a move to Real Madrid, having hinted at his interest in such a transfer months ago.
