Manchester City sit three points shy of Arsenal as the Premier League season heads into its closing stages, but a congested schedule threatens their title push. The postponement of matches against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, now rescheduled around the FA Cup final versus Chelsea on May 16, means City must play three games between May 13 and May 19.

These fixture adjustments came due to City's deep runs in domestic cups, yet the tight turnaround leaves Guardiola's squad facing a relentless stretch. Their title pursuit will wrap up with a final league clash against Aston Villa on May 24.

Reports suggest City were frustrated when the fixture changes were confirmed, feeling the Crystal Palace game—moved from March—could have been rearranged sooner. Still, Guardiola accepts this as part and parcel of competing at the highest level in England.

It is what it is. When we won the treble and quadruple we always had this kind of calendar,

Guardiola

Of course it could be better but I've never expected help. We'll do that and go game by game.

Guardiola

If you don't like it, go and train in France or Portugal. I like being here, and I've said many times, when I was at Barcelona and saw managers here complain about the schedule, it has always been like this.

City aim to clinch their seventh Premier League title during Guardiola’s tenure, capitalizing on Arsenal's recent slip-ups. The Gunners’ failure to maintain substantial leads previously handed City consecutive trophies in 2023 and 2024.

If Arsenal beat Fulham at the Emirates on Saturday, City will find themselves six points behind by the time they visit Everton on Monday. That match will kick off a pair of games in hand in a title race so close it could be decided on goal difference or goals scored.

It's normal, it's the calendar. Sometimes you play first, sometimes behind,

Guardiola

It is what it is and nothing changes at this stage - you know exactly what you have to do.

Guardiola

When asked whether he plans to watch Arsenal’s game against Fulham, Guardiola admitted he wasn’t even sure of their kickoff time.

What time do they play? It's after a training session, so maybe I will watch it,

Guardiola

Despite the fixture chaos, Guardiola remains focused and unfazed, determined to take each challenge as it comes.
