Arsenal are on the brink of breaking a historic club record after securing 40 wins across all competitions this season.

The Gunners’ best run came in the 1970/71 campaign, when they notched 41 victories.

Mikel Arteta’s side sits just one win away from equaling that record, with several matches still left in the Premier League and potentially the Champions League.

This season’s tally already surpasses notable squads in the club’s history, including the 2001/02 double-winning team that finished with 39 wins, as well as the unbeaten side from 2003/04, which ended with 38 victories.

Arsenal have also broken Arteta’s personal record as manager, which stood at 34 wins in a single season.
