Wolves progress to the next stage destipe the defeat

Jonathan Calleri ruined Wolves unbeaten away record in the Europa League, scoring a hat-trick, but it wasn't enough to stop the visitor to progress to the next stage of the competition.

In the 91st minute the hosts took the victory, but the aggregate scoreline was 6-3 in favor of the visitors.

In the 16th minute the home side opened the scoreline.

However, only six minutes later the visitors equalised after Adama Traore's goal.

Last night Espanyol came into the match with a lot more determination than the last week's game. They played very well while Wolves were sloppy in defense.

The visitors were given a penalty and Callery placed it perfectly in the net to make the scoreline 2-1.

However, in the 79th minute Matt Doherty equalized thanks to a great assist from Podence.

The expectations rise higher and higher as Wolves moves to the next stage of the Europa League.

Nuno admits that he is powerless to stop the expectations: "It is impossible. How am I supposed to manage outside expectations?

"We will have to focus on our daily process, tomorrow we will train, Saturday we're going to train and then we will travel to play Tottenham.

"Of course, we are extremely happy with the result and we want to keep the things going. Yes, we should've done better in this second leg but the hard work was there and we made something which is massive for us."
