Andre Onana dives low to his left to save a shot during a match, fully stretched in a bright green goalkeeper kit in front of the goal net.

Andre Onana still believes he can reclaim his spot as Manchester United's starting goalkeeper under a new manager, according to Inews Paper.

The Cameroonian keeper is currently on loan at Trabzonspor for the 2025/26 season, with no mandatory purchase option included in his deal.

Onana thinks that if Manchester United appoints a coach who values an actively involved goalkeeper in building play from the back, it could revive his career at Old Trafford.

He’s hoping for someone like Xavi to take charge, given his links to FC Barcelona and his footballing philosophy.

So far this season, Onana has played 14 games for the Turkish side, keeping just three clean sheets and conceding 23 goals.
