Barcelona secured a convincing 3-0 win over Oviedo at Spotify Camp Nou in the 21st round of La Liga, reclaiming first place in the standings from Real Madrid. The victory against the league’s bottom team was expected, but the way the Catalans achieved it showed two very different sides.

The first half was one of Barcelona’s weakest performances in a long time. They played slowly without any sharpness or attacking ideas, rarely troubling Oviedo’s defense. However, after the break, the hosts raised their tempo and quickly settled the game.

In the 52nd minute, Dani Olmo opened the scoring. Just five minutes later, Raphinha doubled the lead, putting Barcelona firmly in control. Lamine Yamal sealed the win in the 73rd minute with a spectacular overhead goal, earning applause from the crowd.

This win marked Barcelona’s return to the winning track after losing 1-2 to Real Sociedad in the previous round and put them back on top of the table. Oviedo remains stuck at the bottom with only two wins all season and already looks like a strong candidate for relegation.
