Timo Werner ready for a move to Liverpool

RB Leipzig star Timo Werner wi believed to be ready to join Liverpool this summer if the club is willing to pay his release clause of £52m before it expires in June.

However, Liverpool are not willing to make a move for Werner before the release clause in his contract expires.

Werner, whose release clause was inserted when he extended his contract last summer until 2023, expressed how proud he is to be linked with a club like Liverpool, and believes that he will be a great addition to the Reds.

The 24-year-old German player was on the verge of joining Bayern Munich last year for €30m, but the Bundesliga giants are still interested in him.

Werner is believed to leave RB Leipzig this summer, and the young star said that in his opinion Jurgen Klopp is "the best coach in the world" and the style of play Liverpool have will suit him very well.

Timo Werner scored 27 goals in all competitions for RB Leipzig this season and had integral role in the win against Tottenham Hotspur in the first leg of the Champions League.

Will Werner suit Liverpool?

Werner's future is in Klopp's hands, as the Germain will become Liverpool player if Jurgen Klopp decides to pay his release clause.

Werner is almost certain to leave RB Leipzig in the summer, but will he join Liverpool that is still unclear.

The 24-year-old star will have a serious competition if he joins Liverpool. The Reds have one of the best front-three in the world in the face of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

Timo even said that he don't believe that he has reached their level yet. Werner is among the bright young stars in the football world and all of them are looking to join a team where they can play regularly in order to prove themselves.

If Liverpool can assure the player that he will be given the time he needs to play, then Werner joining Liverpool next season becomes a real possibility.
