Olivier Giroud and Willy Caballero will stay at Stamford Bridge yet for another year as both of them signed with Chelsea contract extensions.
Giroud current deal was set to expire in the end of 2019/20 campaign and the Frenchman has been linked with a move to Lazio.
However, the 33-year-old player is now delighted to announce that he still has future in Chelsea.
“I am delighted to continue my journey and adventure at Chelsea," told the Frenchman in the official website of Chelsea.
“I can’t wait to get back to playing and enjoying competitive football with my team-mates.
”I’m looking forward to wearing the Chelsea shirt again, especially in front of our fans at a full Stamford Bridge, whenever it is safe to do so.”
The World Cup winner joined the Blues from Arsenal in 2018 and since then he scored 49 goals for the team.
Chelsea also took the opportunity to extend the players contracts and they extended Willy Caballero current deal with one more year. The Argentinian goalkeeper will stay with Lampard's side until the end of 2020/21 season.
“I am very happy to make this announcement. It is a privilege to be part of this Chelsea squad and the Chelsea family, at one of the most historic clubs in the Premier League," announced Caballero in the Chelsea's official site.
“It is a difficult time for everyone right now so I feel blessed by this opportunity and truly appreciate it.
“I want to thank my team-mates for helping me to be my best and I want to thank the boss and the club for extending my contract.
“I’m sure they will continue to demand the maximum from me and I will compete with the same energy as always. I am very happy.”
Willy Caballero made nine appearances for the Blues this season and right before the suspension of the season due to the coronavirus, he was the preferred option for the goal, instead of Kepa Arrizabalaga.
