Jorginho Chelsea

Jorginho wanted from two top European clubs

Two 'top European clubs' are trying to sign Jorginho from Chelsea, according to his agent.

The midfielder joined the Blues in the summer of 2018 from the Italian club Napoli for a few of £57 million, and he had difficult first season with the team.

But the 28-year-old player found the right way under Frank Lampard's management and so far he has made 32 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.

The Italy international has been linked with a move to Juventus, as Maurizio Sarri took over the Italian club and he coached him when Jorginho played for Napoli and Chelsea.

However, Jorginho's agent, Joao Santos, has told Radio Musica Television: “If you ask me if Sarri likes Jorginho, I’d say ‘yes’ due to their history.

“I can’t say anything about the transfer market as I’m not in touch with anyone right now.

“Jorginho still has three years left on his contract and is doing well at Chelsea, but if a big enough offer comes in then a deal could go through.

“In this sense, two top European clubs, not Italian ones, contacted me,” added Santos.

Earlier this month, Jorginho revealed that he was on the verge of leaving Chelsea after his own fans booed him during a Europa League win over Malmo last season.

“Last year, fans were picking on me a lot because I’d arrived with another manager and, in my opinion, I ended up hearing some things that were honestly unfair," said Jorginho.

“I’ve gone through moments like this at every club I’ve played for – this low moment when doubt can come and make you wonder, ‘should I just leave this place? Maybe there isn’t room for me here’."
