Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is reportedly thinking about bringing José Mourinho back to manage the team, according to COPE journalist Alfredo Relaño.

At the same time, Pérez has come under fire for appointing Álvaro Arbeloa as the new head coach following the dismissal of Xabi Alonso. Relaño criticized the decision sharply, suggesting it was a mistake.

Relaño claims Pérez has recently made a series of poor decisions and lost his usual sharpness. He pointed out that public opinion clearly favored Xabi Alonso, and the developments around the coach unfolded right before everyone's eyes.

The journalist didn't hold back when it came to Álvaro Arbeloa either, saying he’s not a figure who inspires the players or the club’s fans. According to Relaño, Arbeloa's appointment does nothing to solve Real Madrid's current problems.

He also insists that Pérez’s ultimate goal is precisely to bring Mourinho back. Relaño believes the Portuguese coach is deliberately creating tension at his current club Benfica, hoping to be dismissed and clear a path back to Santiago Bernabéu.

Mourinho is the only coach Florentino Pérez has ever been truly happy with. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up deciding to bring him back.
