Roma has agreed to bring in Aston Villa striker Doniel Malen, who is set to fly to Italy today for medicals and contract signing.
The forward will join the Giallorossi initially on loan, with a clause to make the move permanent this summer.
For the six-month loan, Roma will pay €2.3 million, and if the deal becomes permanent, the fee will be €28.8 million.
The club had hoped to sign Giacomo Raspadori, but he is very likely to choose Atalanta instead. This pushed Roma to act quickly and secure Malen.
In all competitions this season, 26-year-old Doniel has scored 7 goals and tallied 2 assists in 29 appearances for Aston Villa.
