Real Madrid start their hunt for a striker

All football in Europe is suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that will not stop Real Madrid of planning their transfers for the summer.

Los Blancos definitely need a reinforcement in the frontline as they are struggling to score any goals recently.

Zinedine Zidane is determined to go after a new striker when the summer transfer window opens.

Real need to find a replacement for Karim Benzema as the Frenchman is struggling to score any goals and the signing of Luka Jovic turned out to be a complete disaster.

For what we know so far, Erling Haaland has become their top priority. It is known that Real Madrid are interested of Lautaro Martinez and Timo Werner too.

It is not a secret that Zidane want to bring Kylian Mbappe to Santiago Bernabeu, but for now that signing looks impossible as the price for the 21-year-old Frenchman is set very high.

Although, Mbappe is not willing to renew his contract with PSG, which expires in 2022 and that opens the door for a possible transfer in 2021.

Neymar Jr. is also an option, but it is not likely to sign the 27-year-old Brazilian as his behavior will not fit the one of Real Madrid squad and most certainly he will join their rivals Barcelona this summer.

Real Madrid will be shorted in their options for new striker, with the three non-EU spots in their team being taken up by Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Eder Militao.

However, Erling Haaland is the preferred new signing for Real Madrid. He was estimated for 80 million euros and he impressed everyone with his 40 goals scored this season.

Lautaro Martinez is the other option as a good replacement of Benzema, but the main problem that remains is that he is currently a non-EU player and won't have an EU passport until January 2021 at the earliest.
