Sterling ready to leave City to join Liverpool

The entourage of Raheem Sterling revealed that the 25-year-old is considering a move to his former club Liverpool.

The England international left the Reds in controversial circumstances in 2015 after turning down their renewal deal to join Manchester City.

Back then Sterling explained that he was motivated not from the money, but for the trophies. In fact, since he joined the Citizens he won two Premier League titles, twice won the FA Cup and three times League Cups.

However, as it seems Sterling is ready to say goodbye to Man City and come back to Liverpool. According to L'Equipe the deal is likely to happen, but the Reds will have to wait until the end of the season to see their financial status.

Why it is likely to happen?

Earlier this month, it got clear that Mane is unsatisfied with the Reds as he is not in good terms with his teammate Mohamed Salah. It was reported that Real Madrid are interested in the 27-year-old Senegal international and it is most likely the deal to happen as Los Blancos are looking for a player like Mane.

On the other hand, City are in a very delicate position as they are facing a two-year ban to participate in any European tournament, which means that it is likely to lose their key players.

Sterling is one of the player who might leave them. As we said, the 25-year-old is motivated by the trophies, not by the money - wo will he stay if there are no trophies?
