Barcelona’s head coach Hansi Flick made it clear on Friday that Ferran Torres remains a crucial part of his vision for the team. After their friendly against Birmingham City, Flick shut down any rumors about the forward leaving, saying he expects Torres to stay at Camp Nou through the summer transfer window.

Flick revealed that he kept in touch with Torres during the World Cup but is now giving him space to enjoy his off-season.
He is currently on holiday and I respect that time; he has every right to enjoy it. He is, without a doubt, a key member of our squad and proved on several occasions last season just how vital he is to us. That is the standard we expect from him, and we want him to stay here.
