Chelsea are reportedly targeting Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz this summer.
Chelsea are already on the verge of signing RB Leipzig star Timo Werner and they are now looking to land a new midfielder too.
Leverkusen have not received a formal offer for the 20-year old yet, but it is believed that the Spanish giants Real Madrid and the Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich have already held talks with the club.
However, Roman Abramovich is keen to give Lampard a full financial backing for his transfer targets this summer.
After Chelsea had a transfer ban now they are ready to splash big amount of money on reinforcing the whole squad.
Ben Chilwell remains a top priority for the Blues as they need a left-back, and Hakim Ziyech will officially join Lampard's side from Ajax in July.
Chelsea hope to sign the 20-year-old German international for a fee of around £70 million, but many reports claim that Leverkusen would not be willing to let him go for less than £89 million.
From the Bundesliga club are still uncertain for Havertz future at BayArena.
“We don’t know yet what will happen to Kai," said Leverkusen’s sporting director Simon Rolfes.
“We know that all the great clubs from Germany and Europe are after him and that he has the ability to play anywhere.”
Havertz contract with Bayer Leverkusen is set to expire in 2022.
He is one of the top goalscorers in the Bundesliga at the moment as he netted 11 goals in 26 games.
