Ainsley Maitland-Niles Arsenal

Arsenal ready to sell a talented youngster

Arsenal are ready to sell Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer as they are looking for a way to complete their summer transfer targets.

The Gunners want not less than £20m for their right-back, according to some reports.

The 22-year-old Englishman has fell out of favour and many reports claimed that he will leave on loan this summer, but now as it seems Arsenal are keen to sell him.

However, recently Niles has returned to play for the Gunners in the friendlies against Brentford and Charlton, but he was seen playing not in his preferred position, as he played as a midfielder and not as a right-back.

Arteta gave chance to the young player, who set up a goal scoring chance against Charlton, but made a costly mistake against Brentford and that led to a loss for Arsenal.

Maitland Niles has fallen out of favor after the return of Hector Bellerin and the arrival of Cedric Soares.

We even saw that Arteta preferred to put Sokratis Papastathopoulos on the right-back instead of the Englishman.

If Maitland-Niles can’t manage to get a spot in the midfield area in the next month or so, a move does seem likely.

The money they could get for Niles will help Arteta to proceed with his desire to sign Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid.
