James Rodriguez Real Madrid

Might be time for James to leave

The time for James Rodriguez to leave Real Madrid might have came as he was left on the bench again even with the number of substitutes that are allowed.

With the new rules which allow the coaches to make up to five substitutions per game in order to keep their players safe, we expected to see James Rodriguez getting some action last night, but Zidane left him on the bench.

On Sunday, Real Madrid faced Eibar and the Los Blancos won the much needed three points as they beat the Los Armeros 3-1.

Zidane was allowed to make five substitutions to keep his players fit, as they will have to play every three days, but James Rodriguez was left only to observe the game, but not to participate.

Instead of choosing the Colombian, who has not played a single minute since October 19, 2019, the French manager let in Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, Gareth Bale, Vinicius Junior and Fede Valverde.

The 28-year-old midfielder has never been among Zidane's favourites to play and doesn't look like that will be changing any time soon.

James is almost 29-year-old already and he need some playtime, but he is not getting it at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Colombian just can't waste anymore time hoping to impress Zinedine Zidane and he need to find a new club where he will get involved in enough action.

James was linked with a move to England as the north London club Arsenal showed interest in him.

However, as the transfer market is full with many uncertainties and the clubs are struggling with financial problems, Real Madrid will look to see James this summer.
