The Little Mix singer attended St. Peter and Paul RC Primary School, and Mortimer Community College in South Shields, but later she enrolled in Newcastle College, where she received a BTEC in Performing Arts.
Perrie Edwards career started thanks to the X Factor.
Her first audition to the competition was with the song You Oughta Know by Alanis Morissette. The judges decided that it will be right for Edwards to put her in a group, so they formed the band Faux Pas, along with Jesy Nelson.
While Perrie and Jesy were part of the same group, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock formed the group Orion, but both groups failed to progress further.
Later, the judges made a decision to bring the four girls back in the competition, as they saw their potential, so they offered them to work together as a group. That's how Rhythmix was formed.
Perrie Edwards is considered as the best vocalist in the group, as she has an amazing vocal range and a deeper voice with belting prowess. There is no doubt that she has the best lower register of the group.
Together with the group, Perrie released six albums - DNA (2012), Salute (2013), Get Weird (2015), Glory Days (2016), LM5 (2018) and Confetti (2020).
In 2020, Edwards became an ambassador for the brand Supreme Nutrition, and she is the first female ambassador for them.
She also became the new face of the Portuguese-African food franchise Nando's.
