Leicester Norwich

Norwich victorious over Leicester

What a night for Norwich. Both sides have not won a game since January.

Jamie Vardy did not start for Leicester after calf strain. Christian Fuchs and Youri Tielemans also didn't play with Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Perez and Hamza Choudhury returning.

Norwich made only one change from from their 3-0 defeat to Wolves on Sunday, Emiliano Buendia came in to replace Lukas Rupp.

In the 22nd minute Praet had a chance to open the scoreline after a great ball from Ricardo Pereira, but he was unfortunate and hit the post.

Just six minutes later Iheanacho had a chance to score after a great delivery by Maddison but Norwich goalkeeper saved the ball.

After the middle of the first half Leicester City made attack after attack but Norwich defense was solid.

The visitors though they've taken the lead in the 49th minute after Kelechi Iheanacho made a powerful strike to place the ball into the net, but the goal was ruled out by VAR after a handball.

In the second half Kasper Schmeichel had to make a lot of saves as the Norwich team were shooting from distance.

However, Leicester were dominant for the most of the second half. They had a lot of chances to open the scoreline and perhaps to win the game, but they just couldn't find the net.

Leicester had plenty of the ball, they dominated in position and shots, but they were unfortunate

The strike by Jamal Lewis in the 70th minute was just marvellous. That was the goal that put Norwich in front in the scoreline and eventually was the winning goal.

That win put Norwich within four points of safety as they are on the verge of relegation. That was their second win in the Premier League since November and theirs fifth win for the season.

Leicester remain in the third position in the Premier League table, but now they have gone for PL games without a win. However, they are nine points ahead Manchester United in fifth place.
