We started to maintain possession, find connections across the pitch, showed calmness and at times built confidence. We had a good spell and it looked like we were getting into the game when they scored, which was disappointing. But again, we showed character to come back. There are moments in the game where you just have to defend. They force you to defend the box and that’s challenging, but I think we had enough in the game to keep believing and I always felt we could score.

Today, away, you have to create your own energy between each other, and the fans in the corner were unbelievable. There’s an element to playing away from home where you understand the phases of the game, how it will develop, and you have to be patient and disciplined at the right moments. In certain situations, we controlled the ball well, played forward and positive, and were rewarded for it.

It’s only been 10 days and we know it won’t be perfect. You can’t expect to come here and dominate possession. We are just getting started and this is a good platform, but we have to build on it and we’ll try to do that over the next few weeks.
