Kylian Mbappé was clearly disappointed with Real Madrid’s performance in their 2-4 defeat to Benfica in the Champions League.

The French striker scored twice but couldn’t hide his frustration as his side conceded soft goals and ended the match with just nine players on the field.

Lack of consistency in our performance is what we need to fix. Painful to play playoffs, but Benfica deserved to win.

Kylian Mbappé

He didn’t hold back when it came to the final goal conceded.

The last goal we conceded was a DISGRACE for us. It didn’t change anything except adding more shame. We deserve the position we’re in.

Kylian Mbappé

Mbappé finished the 2025/26 Champions League group stage with 13 goals, breaking the previous record held by Cristiano Ronaldo.
