Leroy Sane Manchester City

Sane's move to Germany might collapse

Bayern Munich are interested in signing Leroy Sane this summer, but Manchester City are standing firm behind their asking price for the German player.

The talks over the transfer has ended last week as City want a fee of around £62m (€70m) for their winger - whose contract runs out in the summer of 2021 - but Bayern's latest offer was £36m (€40m).

Bayern head coach Hansi Flick said on Wednesday that his priority at the moment are the wide players such as Leroy Sane.

The club's honorary president and deputy chairman Uli Hoeness has once again expressed his desire to bring Sane at Allianz Arena.

Th Bundesliga leaders wanted to sign Sane last year, but the deal fell off as the German got a serious knee injury in the Community Shield game against Liverpool and was sidelined for almost the entire campaign.

Sane was on the verge of making his return before the suspension of the season as he featured for City in an U23 fixture against Arsenal in February.

We expect to see him when the season resumes, which is scheduled for June 17 with Manchester City facing Arsenal.

Last season, Sane started only 21 games in the Premier League scoring 10 goals and assisting 11.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are on the verge of winning their 8th consecutive Bundesliga title as they are need only two wins after their 4-2 victory at Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
