Barcelona's Hansi Flick Eyes HISTORIC 100 Points - Will They Break Record?
Barcelona, led by Hansi Flick, aims for a historic 100-point season in La Liga, chasing records held by Mourinho and Vilanova.
Barcelona, coached by Hansi Flick, has set its sights on the challenging milestone of 100 points in La Liga – a record achieved only twice before in history: by José Mourinho's Real Madrid in the 2011/12 season and by Tito Vilanova's Barcelona the following campaign.
The blaugranas also broke Vilanova’s record for consecutive league matches scoring with a 39-game streak after their 2-0 win in the derby against Espanyol. Now, they’re chasing the top points tally.
At the halfway mark of the 2025/26 season, Barcelona leads the table with 49 points from 17 matches, already a better haul than at the same stage last season.
The Catalans' record so far includes:
- Only two losses (to Sevilla and Real Madrid)
- One draw (against Rayo Vallecano)
- An impressive run of nine straight wins since the defeat in the Classico at Santiago Bernabeu on October 26
Flick, who guided the club to last season’s title with 88 points, has instilled a ruthless efficiency that puts Barcelona on course for a triple-digit points haul.
Built on an attacking style and solid defense, the current momentum positions Barcelona as a genuine contender to beat the standards set by Mourinho and Vilanova over a decade ago.
As the second half of the season and the Spanish Super Cup approach, maintaining this form will be crucial.
