Real Madrid’s dressing room is growing uneasy over the tactical direction under head coach Alvaro Arbeloa, according to Cadena SER.

While Arbeloa has managed to ease some of the tension that plagued the squad during his predecessor Xabi Alonso’s tenure, the players don’t see him as a transformative figure. Their frustration stems from his controversial decisions and a perceived lack of tactical innovation.

Discontent has specifically flared after Arbeloa left Dani Ceballos out of the starting lineup for the entire match in their loss to Benfica. The divide over tactics also became apparent during the team’s last win against Rayo Vallecano, where disagreements between the players and the Spanish coach surfaced.

Arbeloa’s long-term future at the club hangs in the balance, depending heavily on the team’s performances in La Liga and the Champions League.
