Kyle Walker is facing a disciplinary action from his club, Manchester City, as the defender broke the government lockdown.
Kyle Walker was finding the lockdown placed by the government as a precaution to the spread of the virus. The defender got a party at his home, but he apologised about that.
"I want to take this opportunity to issue a public apology for the choices I made last week which have resulted in a story today (Sunday) about my private life in a tabloid newspaper," said Walker in a statement.
"I understand that my position as a professional footballer brings the responsibility of being a role model. As such, I want to apologise to my family, friends, football club, supporters and the public for letting them down.
Of course, no matter what Manchester United have to take some actions and punish the player.
The Citizens made a statement saying: "Manchester City FC are aware of a story in a tabloid newspaper regarding the private life of Kyle Walker in relation to a breach of the UK lockdown and social distancing rules.
"We are disappointed to hear the allegations, note Kyle's swift statement and apology, and will be conducting an internal disciplinary procedure in the coming days."
Due to the crisis everyone should remain in their homes and not have a social interaction with many people.
Last week, Jack Grealish breached the lockdown and went out with friends. The Aston Villa captain was punished by the club about his actions, he was fined for his reckless acts, the same should happen with Walker.
