Chelsea target Man United goalkeeper

Chelsea are ready to sign Manchester United goalkeeper, Dean Henderson, who is currently on loan at Sheffield United.

Recently, it was reported that Manchester United are impressed by Henderson and they are ready to offer him a new contract, but nothing has been finalised and Chelsea will try to sign the shot stopper from the club.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper might find it difficult to establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Red Devils as David De Gea signed a new three-year contract with United.

De Gea's wage is astronomical and it is unlikely that any team will want to sign him, not to mention that he hasn't been at his best in recent years. That means Henderson will not get any chance in the first team any time soon.

However, according to The Sun, Chelsea are ready to offer £50 million for the Englishman in order to sign him.

Frank Lampard is desperately looking for a proper replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga, as the Spaniard has been in terrible form this season.

The Blues have already signed the striker Timo Werner and the right-winger Hakim Ziyech, but apparently Roman Abramovich is in the mood to spend even more money on transfers this summer.

If Henderson sign with Chelsea, he will get the much needed playtime to become England's first choice and it will be unlikely that he will wait for three more years to become a major part of United's squad.

However, recently Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prised United academy graduate saying that he believes Henderson will become number 1 player for both Manchester United and England international team.

"This season has proved a great experience for him, he's done himself some favours with his performances, and proved he will be England's No 1 and Man United's No 1 at some point," said Solskjaer
