Wilfried Zaha is reportedly Newcastle top target for this summer if the financial takeover of £300 million is completed.
It is reported that the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which is ruled by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is close to buying Newcastle from Mike Ashley.
Recently, Newcastle have been linked with the signing of many big names in the world of football.
Edinson Cavani, Philippe Coutinho, Gareth Bale, Donny van de Beek and Nabil Fekir are among the players who were reported that are in Newcastle target list.
Now many reports claim that Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is also a top priority for the Magpies.
Zaha is estimated at £80m by Palace chiefs, and the Cote d'Ivoirian was on the verge to join Everton last summer.
However, Zaha stayed at Crystal Palace as the Eagles rejected Everton's bid of £55m.
Zaha has been linked with other big English club, Arsenal. The Gunners former manager, Unai Emery even revealed that he wanted to sign Zaha over Nicolas Pepe, who cost the club £72m last summer.
“I told them, ’this is the player I know and want.’ I met Zaha and he wanted to come,” said Emery.
“The club decided Pepe was one for the future. I said, ‘yes, but we need to win now and this lad wins games.’ He beat us on his own.
“It’s also true he was expensive and Palace didn’t want to sell. There were a series of decisions that had repercussions.”
Zaha scored only three goals this season for Palace, but for many years he has been their most constant player.
Crystal Palace are currently on the 11th position of the Premier League table, before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic in March.
Roy Hodgson’s side need only one win to go ahead Arsenal and Tottenham in the league's standings.
